bopbop

Install

  1. Add the extension to Chrome

    It connects your browser to the bopbop server on your computer. Edge, Brave and Chromium work too.

    Add to Chrome
  2. Add bopbop to your agent

    Claude Code
    claude mcp add -s user bopbop -- npx -y bopbop
    Codex
    codex mcp add bopbop -- npx -y bopbop

    Cursor and other MCP clients: JSON config. Needs Node.js 24 or later.

  3. Ask for something in your browser

    Use bopbop. Open example.com and tell me the heading.

    A tab opens in the agent's own tab group. The extension pairs with the server by itself: nothing to paste.

Cursor and other MCP clients

Add this to the client's MCP config. For Cursor it is ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "bopbop": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "bopbop"] }
  }
}

Settings go under "env", for example "env": { "BBM_GUARD": "shop-social" }. All settings: Settings.

Teach your agent to use it well (optional)

A short skill tells the agent to batch steps, read tables as data and skip screenshots. It saves tokens on every task.

npx skills add alexsorokoletov/bopbop
